Week 3 of the KMYOGA community cleanse is dedicated to our Manipura chakra, which is the solar plexus chakra, situated on the navel. Our Manipura chakra is associated with our energy and takes care of the organs that control the digestion.
So, as you can imagine, imbalances in this chakra can cause many different digestive issues, diabetes or even blood pressure or bad blood circulation. A strong and balanced solar plexus chakra on the other side supports great health, vitality, strength and balance, which will help you to commit to your intentions.
The foods that nourish the Manipura chakra are the grains such as quinoa, millet, brown rice, breads, pastas and cereals. Seeds such as flax, sesame and sunflower seeds and their oils are great as well as dairy (milk, cheese, kefir, yogurt…). Regarding herbs and spices, ginger, turmeric, cumin, mint, fennel and chamomile will support your solar plexus chakra as well.
As usual, I would recommend choosing organic, grass fed products, especially when it comes to dairy, so you avoid antibiotics and growth hormones from industrialized cattle farms. Look for products with no added sugar. It’s much better to consume natural, full fat dairy products than their fat free, full of added sugar versions
