In this week’s interview, I have the pleasure to introduce you to my gorgeous friend Summah Provost.
Summah and I studied together at IIN (the Institute for Integrative Nutrition). This how we met and developed a wonderful friendship. Summah is a beautiful soul and is a holistic health coach, meditation teacher and clinical nutritionist in training. She lives and works on the south coast of NSW, a few hours away from Sydney, with her fiancé, 4 horses, 3 chooks, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Could you please explain what brought you there/how did you find your path?
I had a traumatic assault in my early teens, and followed a self destructive path of heavy drinking, poor nutrition and dangerous habits for 9 years. Through self work, therapy and a healthy lifestyle change I created the life I now love to live!
Could you please share one of the biggest challenges you had to face and how did you manage it?
Addressing my trauma was very challenging as it was not just the initial assaults to process, but all the bad habits I created to hide my past. Through therapy, personal and spiritual development and a clean lifestyle I healed myself and have no cravings for alcohol, nor do I treat myself like a rubbish dump. I had to look at the people around me, which was very confronting and something I still am working on, but the amazing friends I have gained support and inspire me every single day.
What’s new and good regarding your projects & what do you plan for the near future?
Free weekly online guided meditations for anyone who wants to take 20 minutes to de-stress and zen out with people all over the world. With my nutrition studies, I plan on doing videos so that people can learn how to easily make small changes to improve their eating habits.
What was your best holiday/trip & why?
Bali. We went vegan for a week and ate a raw foods diet without even knowing it. It was divine, totally healing and we came back so refreshed and energised.
What’s your favourite beauty product/cosmetic?
I like Lavera for make up and products, but to be honest, I am a bi-carb and apple cider vinegar girl with some coconut oil. Simplicity!
What’s your most important health secret?
Fresh clean water, eat home grown produce and read labels!!
Life is a continual improvement, what did you learn lately?
Food is powerful. I was feeling stressed with study work load and made a vegan cheese sauce, with 2 servings of nutritional yeast. Nutritional yeast is crazy high in niacin, and after the meal, I was super blissed out and relaxed. It was a great reminder on how foods really are our medicine!
What tip/advice would you give to our readers to help them reach their dreams/happiness?
Identify where it is you would like to be, what is in your way, and how to realign with your path. Develop a Whatever It Takes attitude, and don’t let anything stop you from striving for your dreams.
