Melissa Ambrosini

I am really happy to introduce you to the gorgeous Melissa Ambrosini from Path To Wellness.

 

She is a holistic health and life coach, writer, blogger and speaker. She describes herself as a truth seeker, green juice junkie, super passionate organic lifestyle liver, dreamer, and wellness warrior.

 

She helps empower women to live the life of their dreams, to jump out of bed with fist-pumping enthusiasm and teaches them how to say YES to life.

Meet Melissa Ambrosini…

 

Could you please tell us how and where did you grow up?

 

I grew up in Brisbane, QLD and moved to Sydney as soon as I finished Year 12 to study performing arts and acting. I lived in Sydney for three years, working professionally as a dancer and actress before landing a role as a can can dancer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. After a year in Paris, I moved to London for two years to continue working professionally. I had a ball to say the least. I have been back home (in Sydney) for three years now and, oh boy, has it been a journey! I landed roles on Packed to the Rafters and Home and Away as soon as I got back to Australia. But, my heart was no longer in it.

 

I battled depression and anxiety plus a cocktail of health issues which led me to the realization that what I was missing was self-love. I stopped looking externally to fix, change, and improve my life and turned inwards.

 

Could you please explain what brought you there/how did you find your path?

 

After spending many years running around at a million miles per hour, working way too much, not loving myself enough, traveling the globe, living off champers, canapés, and four hours of sleep, it was only a matter of time before my poor little exhausted adrenals packed up and went on holidays. Along with adrenal fatigue, thyroid problems, high levels of mercury, loads of mineral deficiencies and a serious case of the herpes simplex virus 1, my body was screaming at me to slow down. It was sending me bright red warning signs loud and clear that it had had enough.

 

My entire immune system shut down and the severity of the cold sore virus sent me straight to hospital. Leading up to this event, I spent an extremely long and exhausting year in and out of emergency rooms and the doctors’ offices, ignoring all the signs to slow down.

 

I was depressed and anxious and was dealing with weekly panic attacks. It was not fun! Lying in the hospital was the last straw for me. I realized I had to take back control of my health, my life and my happiness. I realized I was the only person who could do this. This was the catalyst.

 

What’s new and good regarding your projects & what do you plan for the near future?

 

I get so excited thinking about the future. There are so many amazing things on the horizon. First off, my one-on-one coaching practice is thriving. I love coaching and helping women discover their greatness and helping them live the life of their dreams. This continues to grow effortlessly on a daily basis.

 

Healthtalks TV has just been launched. This is very exciting. Our vision for Healthtalks is to reach, inspire, and help as many people as possible. We want to share our knowledge and inspire people to live their biggest and best life. Also, my co-hosts and I are currently collaborating on a kick-ass e-Book jam jacked with awesome, life-changing information. I can’t wait to share it with you!

 

I am also writing my own e-Book, which will be released early next year. I am so excited!

 

What was your best holiday/trip & why?

 

Every trip I have been on holds a special place in my heart. Sailing the coast of Italy with my family was breathtaking especially walking through Pisa with my Dad, and eating gelato with my sister on the Roman steps. I will never forget it. Riding into town on our bikes with my love in Byron Bay to collect our fresh organic produce from the markets was bliss. Sailing Croatia and witnessing the most beautiful sunsets of my life. Dancing in the streets of Paris. Sipping on sangria in Spain with my sister. Dancing the night away in Ibiza with my girlfriends. Learning about unconditional love in Jerus Bay. These are all precious memories from trips that I will never forget.

 

What’s your favourite beauty product/cosmetic?

 

Coconut oil. It’s the best body moisturizer and hair treatment ever. It smells divine and actually does what it’s meant to do—unlike other toxic, beauty products.

 

What’s your most important health secret?

 

Drink loads of clean filtered water! I guess that’s not really a secret, is it? Um, oh, dry body brushing got rid of my cellulite. Do this every day. It’s amazing!

 

Life is a continual improvement, what did you learn lately?

 

This week I was reminded that I really don’t perform at my best when I don’t take time for self-love. I sometimes think I am superwomen and that I can manage without self-love time for just one day. But, oh no! This week was a perfect example. It doesn’t matter how busy I am or how long my “to do” list is. I have to take time our every single day for self-love, meditation, reading, exercising, journaling, and connecting.

 

What tip/advice would you give to our readers to help them reach their dreams/happiness?

 

Choose love over fear, always. Follow your heart. Do only what you love. Let go and get out of your own way. Start before you’re ready. Follow your bliss. Get on the path of your purpose and don’t get off.
