Our work this week will be focused on the fifth chakra, our throat chakra, to help us communicate our intentions with ease and authenticity. We can honour our throat chakra by eating mindfully and chewing our food carefully.
Imbalances in this chakra can create difficulties in expressing ourselves and communicating our thoughts and feelings properly. We might feel selfish and experience feelings of rejection.
When our Vishuddhi chakra is balanced, our communication is flowing with ease and authenticity, which is essential to express yourself and your intentions clearly.
The colour of this chakra is blue and the foods that nourish it are mainly fruits such as grapefruits, figs, kiwi, lemons, apples, pears, plums, peaches and apricots.
Drinking lots of water, herbal teas, soups and fresh fruit juices is also great to fuel this chakra. Sea plants, unrefined sea salt and lemon grass are the perfect spices and condiments here.
I would suggest adding a few grams of spirulinia to your juices and smoothies to boost your energy levels at the same time. Adding a small handful of dulse flakes or a few strings of wakame in the cooking water of your grains is also amazing to easily bring minerals and phytonutrients into your diet.
